Hi, there!
You've probably noticed that Anna Roberson Design consists of several elements: theatrical makeup design, staging and interior design and photography. Here is a brief rundown of what each category consists of.
Staging and design = creating a space that is balanced, cohesive and functional
As a certified stager and re-designer, I work on a variety of design projects: real estate staging, new construction, re-design, re-purposing, commercial offices and recording studios.
For staging, my goal is to make a home as close to perfect and as neutral as possible. Why? because that is what is going to make the home more appealing to buyers, and in return, the home will sell faster. The most repeated line that I get from my clients is, " I wish I had done this sooner". Even if you aren't needing to stage your home to put it on the market, we can work together to find your perfect style and design that that will make you fall in love with your home!
For new construction and redesign, I assist my clients with purchasing everything from floor to ceiling: paint, lighting, flooring, counter tops, custom cabinets, plumbing fixtures, furniture and decor. One of my favorite challenges is to re-purpose existing furniture and decor. In just a couple of hours, an entire room can change with out spending a dime on anything new. It's kind of magical, really.
Taking pictures = documenting moments in time and telling a story
In my photography galleries, you will see groupings of pictures. In just a couple of images, you can read about someone's wedding day, a family adventure in downtown Nashville, some brief moments during a one week old baby's day, a kiss on the cheek from a cute dog, or some super silly kids just being kids. Ever image is a document of life’s milestones and simple moments. Currently, I am only accepting a limited number of weddings and sessions per year.
Theatrical makeup design = creating a layer of art that tells a story
In children’s theater, makeup plays a vital role in connecting the actor to their character. Balancing creativity with learning ensures a fun and productive experience for young performers. The right makeup can elevate a child's performance and make the storytelling even more magical! I love organizing every detail that comes with managing the makeup process. Training directors, teachers, volunteers and young artists on how to create a face based on the character’s personality, costume and hair, is a great passion of mine. No matter how small the role, makeup helps to build each actor’s connection to their character.
That’s a rundown about what I do. Maybe there's an opportunity for us to work together in the future. I hope so!
All the best,
Anna
